Jarrow Formulas CLA contains safflower oil and Tonalin totalling 1000mg per softgel. The softgels also contain mixed tocopherols, gelatin, glycerin, purified water and natural caramel color which has been added as a light barrier. We were unable to find how much active CLA is in Jarrow Formulas CLA, making it hard to rank amongst its competitors.


According to directions, consumers should take 1 softgel, 3-4 times daily and with meals. It is unclear as to whether Jarrow Formulas CLA is safe for pregnant women, breastfeeding women or those trying to conceive, it warns consumers to seek medical advice if you fall into one of these categories.

We have found a few consumer reviews that have mentioned onset of diarrhoea when using Jarrow Formulas CLA, but many reports are fine. Many consumers have found it not to be a significant help to weight loss, but there are lots of reports of other benefits such as healthy skin and hair.
